Job summary

Targeted Provision is seeking SEND tutors and teachers to work with Schools and Local Authorities in the UK, delivering Maths, English, or Science tuition to SEND and SEMH learners with trauma-informed approaches.

Roles are self-employed, flexible, and offer in-person, hybrid, and remote teaching opportunities. The team supports vulnerable learners and provides CPD and safeguarding guidance. Apply to join our impact-driven community.

Qualifications

• 2+ years teaching experience, ideally with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a trauma-informed way.
• Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS).
• Enhanced DBS and 2+ professional references.
• UK residency / right to work in the UK, including remote/online roles.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide in person, online / remote, and hybrid Maths, English, or Science tuition to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs, including MLD, SLD, PMLD, and other Additional Educational Needs.
• Support pupils and students, ranging KS1–KS5, referred by local authorities and schools, by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring.
• Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress.
• Contribute to raising the standard of education for SEND learners and support SEMH needs.
