Job summary

Prospero Teaching is urgently recruiting a 1:1 Tutor in Barnsley. The role involves supporting learners on a one-to-one basis across various subjects, with flexible hours between 5 and 40 per week. Start date is ASAP and the assignment is ongoing.

Ideal candidates will have experience working with children in tutoring, teaching, or pastoral settings. QTS is desirable but not required; safeguarding training and a DBS update service are preferred. Right to work in the UK is required.

• Proven track record of improving students' performance.
• Team Teach qualification desirable but not required.

Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting for tutors in Barnsley! The ideal candidate should be hardworking, dedicated, and eager to aid students in their learning journey. Candidates should have experience working with children, whether that be tuition, teaching and classroom roles, or pastoral and care employment. Additional details below:

Position: 1:1 Tutor

Start date: ASAP

End date: Ongoing, open-ended

Area: Barnsley

Working hours: Our working hours are flexible; 5-40 hours per week.

Pay Rate: GBP20 GBP30 per hour

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• QTS (desired but not required), or Previous experience of working with students on 1:1 basis.
• Proven track record of improving students performances.
• Team Teach Qualification would be highly desirable, but not required.
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as Safeguarding training is provided).
• DBS on update service.

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK.
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
• Provide two professional references from your previous two years of employment.
