Job summary

Prospero Teaching is recruiting tutors for 1:1 tuition in Easingwold, York. The role involves supporting a Year 8 student working below ARE, with KS2–KS3 knowledge delivery, at the student’s home (YO61).

Ideal candidates will have prior UK experience with children, a Right to Work in the UK, DBS via Update Service (preferred but not required), and two professional references from the last two years. Start ASAP; ongoing role; 10 hours per week (Tue/Thu) at GBP20–GBP30 per hour.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 tuition for a Year 8 student, delivering KS2 to KS3 content.

Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting for tutors in Easingwold, York! At Prospero, we work with local councils and schools to arrange 1:1 tuitions for students in need of extra provisions. We're looking hardworking, dedicated tutors who are eager to help students in their learning journey! The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with children within the UK, whether that be in a classroom setting, 1:1 tutoring, or in support and pastoral roles.

GBP20 - GBP30 per hour.

The Role

Tuition for a Year 8 student working below ARE. Expected delivery of knowledge: KS2 - KS3. SEN experience desired.

To be considered for this role, you must:

1. Have a Right to Work within the UK.
2. Have at least 4 months experience working with children in the UK.
3. Have a DBS registered on the update service (ideal, but not required, as you can apply for a DBS through us!)

Additional Requirements

1. To hold Right to Work within the UK
2. At least 4 months experience working with children within the UK.
3. An Enhanced DBS registered on the update service (recommended but not required as you can apply for a DBS through us directly).
4. A minimum of two professional references from work within the last two years, and professional references covering any work you've had with children or vulnerable adults within the last two years.
