Job summary

The Bedford College Group seeks a SEND Transition Coordinator to join the Foundation Learning and Additional Learning Support teams across Shuttleworth College, Old Warden, and Central Bedfordshire College—Dunstable Campus.

You will assess and plan high-quality support for students with SEND, coordinate with schools and authorities, and lead staff CPD to ensure smooth enrolment and safeguarding across sites.

Qualifications

• A Levels or equivalent qualification.
• GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above.
• Level 5 qualification in Education, Health or Social Sciences.

Responsibilities

• Assess and plan high-quality support for students with SEND, including those with EHCPs, ensuring smooth transitions into college.
• Collaborate with schools, Local Authorities and curriculum teams to gather information and support enrolment transitions.
• Deliver CPD to curriculum staff on meeting specific needs and support students and families.
• Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity, inclusion and health & safety; maintain compliance and professional standards.
• Engage in ongoing training and responsive development to improve services.
