Job summary

Holme Hall Primary School in Chesterfield is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to support learning for children with SEND. The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner who can work with individual pupils and as part of a team.

You will prepare learning materials, adapt support to needs, and contribute to safeguarding and promoting inclusive practice. The role is 15 hours per week; visits to the school are warmly welcomed.

We are seeking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant who is able to support the learning of children with SEND.

The successful candidates will be excellent classroom practitioners with experience of working with children with a range of needs and who are dedicated to enabling children to achieve their personal best.

They will:

Work with individual children with SEND and EHCPs.

Be able to work as part of a team

Prepare learning materials and adapt teaching support according to childrenʼs needs

Look after children's physical, social and emotional welfare-including first aid duties

Be creative and innovative

Have high expectations of achievement and behaviour

Be committed to promoting and upholding the school values and ethos

Promote and support the inclusion of all pupils, including those with specific needs.

Be motivated and passionate to achieve the very best for the children in our care and make a genuine difference

Use initiative to assess and evaluate pupils' needs
