Job summary

Catcliffe Primary School is seeking a motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our school community. The role involves leading whole-class teaching, delivering lessons, and supporting small groups and individuals to help all pupils reach their potential.

You will work closely with class teachers to plan differentiated activities, support SEND pupils, monitor progress, and contribute to reporting.

Qualifications

• HLTA status or equivalent qualities
• Experience across key stage(s)
• Experience in supporting pupils’ development and SEND needs

Responsibilities

• Provide cover lessons and deliver whole-class teaching when needed (PPA/absence)
• Plan, prepare and deliver differentiated learning with class teachers
• Support pupils’ academic, social, emotional and behavioural development
• Assist pupils with additional needs to access the curriculum
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers
• Manage learning resources and prepare learning environments
• Supervise other staff when required
• Participate in school activities, meetings and CPD
