Job summary

Class Act is recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant to provide day-to-day supply across multiple schools in Bicester. You will support pupils with special educational needs, implement education plans, and promote inclusive learning.

DBS checks and safeguarding are integral, with weekly PAYE payments and access to exclusive deals and wellbeing services. Ideal candidates will have SEND experience, strong behaviour management, and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting children with SEND is desirable.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare and willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS check.

SEND Teaching Assistant - Day-to-Day Supply, Starting Immediately

You will work across multiple schools in Bicester and the surrounding areas, providing day-to-day support with the potential for longer-term or permanent roles.

Duties as SEND Teaching Assistant:

• Support pupils with special educational needs in classroom and small group settings
• Assist in implementing individual education and behaviour plans
• Promote positive behaviour and inclusive learning strategies
• Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to ensure tailored support
• Provide one-to-one assistance where required and help pupils engage with learning activities
• Uphold safeguarding and welfare standards at all times

Ideal SEND Teaching Assistant:

• Previous experience supporting children with SEND is desirable
• Strong understanding of behaviour management and differentiated learning
• Ability to build positive relationships and maintain a calm, supportive approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
• Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check or have one registered on the Update Service
