Job summary

Step Teachers is seeking a flexible SEND Teaching Assistant for daily supply roles in Potters Bar and surrounding areas. You will support pupils with SEND across primary and secondary settings, assisting with learning, personal care when needed, and enabling access to the curriculum.

Ideal candidates will have SEND experience, a calm approach and an understanding of EHCPs, with DBS up to date or a willingness to obtain one. Weekly PAYE pay and well-being support are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND in school or care settings.
• Understanding of EHCPs and strategies for supporting diverse needs.
• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent (desirable)
• Calm, patient, and resilient approach to behaviour and communication
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one

Responsibilities

SEND Teaching Assistant – Daily supply, starting as soon as possible

These flexible opportunities are ideal for SEND Teaching Assistants who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. You’ll be working on a daily supply basis in Potters Bar and the surrounding areas, supporting pupils with special educational needs across a range of primary and secondary schools.
