Job summary

Lancashire County Council, recruiting for Sir Tom Finney Community High School in Preston, is seeking motivated level 2b teaching assistants. The role is full-time, term-time only, with safeguarding duties and DBS checks.

Two permanent and one temporary positions are available, with pro-rata salary for term-time work. Candidate must have excellent interpersonal and ICT skills and be committed to supporting pupils with SEND across learning, welfare and behaviour management.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Competent with ICT and able to use basic classroom technology.
• Commitment to safeguarding and supporting pupils with SEND.

Responsibilities

• Support across the full range of special educational needs.
• Assist with Teaching and Learning activities.
• Support with moving and handling and managing behaviours that may challenge.
• Contribute to safeguarding and welfare of pupils.
