Job summary

West Lancashire Community High School invites applications for a Teaching Assistant, Level 2. The 32.5 hours per week, term-time post supports students with generic learning difficulties in a specialised environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 2 or above qualification appropriate to the post (or equivalent).
• Level 2 English/Literacy and Level 2 Mathematics/Numeracy required.
• Experience of working with or caring for children of relevant age is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering structured learning activities to individuals or groups.
• Monitor student progress and support students' social, emotional and personal needs.
• Assist with ensuring a safe learning environment and manage pupil behaviour as required.
