Lancashire County Council, recruiting for Sir Tom Finney Community High School in Preston, is seeking motivated level 2b teaching assistants. The role is full-time, term-time only, with safeguarding duties and DBS checks.

Summary Sir Tom Finney Community High school is a successful Generic Secondary Special School (11-19) in Preston As a result of a growth in student numbers we are seeking to appoint motivated, skilled and enthusiastic level 2b teaching assistants to join our dedicated and experienced team to provide outstanding learning opportunities. We have two permanent positions and one temporary position , all positions are full time. Please indicate your preference on your application.
You must have excellent interpersonal, communication and relationship skills and be competent with ICT. You will be expected to support across the full range of special educational needs, learning difficulties and disabilities, this will include supporting Teaching and Learning, moving and handling, managing behaviours that may challenge and intimate care/health needs. You will need to be innovative, passionate, creative and hard working with a positive attitude to working within a dedicated team of staff to meet the full range of needs of our young people. Full safeguarding and DBS checks will take place and a commitment to sustained and regular attendance is essential. In return you will become part of a supportive professional team Making a Difference to Children and Young People with SEND and their families. You will have access to an employee support package and participate in an induction process as part of your professional development and training. You will be automatically enrolled into the Local Government Pension Scheme which includes an employer's contribution.
This position is term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro –rata basis.
