Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to support secondary students with Autism/ASD and additional educational needs in Darlington/Middlesbrough. Start ASAP with a short- to long-term placement and a daily rate of £90-£100.

You'll provide classroom and individual support, assist learning and communication, promote positive behaviour and independence, and may provide personal care where required. PAYE payment and ongoing consultant support are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with Autism/ASD and additional educational needs.
• Experience supporting secondary-aged students is desirable.
• Confident providing personal care where required.
• Strong communication skills and a patient approach.
• Ability to adapt support to individual student needs.
• Positive, proactive and resilient attitude.
