Job summary

Unique School Solutions is supporting a large primary school in the S13 area of Sheffield to appoint an enthusiastic and talented SEND Teaching Assistant on a long-term temporary basis from ASAP. This is a full-time, long-term ongoing role.

The role involves 1:1 support for SEND students, group assistance, and contributing to curriculum delivery while upholding safeguarding policies in line with the school's standards.

Qualifications

• Previous/recent experience as SEND Teaching Assistant in a school environment
• Experience working with students with a range of SEND needs
• Ability to work with small groups of students
• Ability to work with students on a 1:1 basis supporting learning

Responsibilities

• Support SEND students to access curriculum content within a classroom environment
• Work on a 1:1 basis with students with SEND needs including Autism, ADHD, learning disabilities and SEMH needs
• Support with the design and delivery of educational resources
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
• Encourage student confidence, independence, and participation
• Work as part of the SEND team
• Follow school safeguarding, behaviour, and health and safety policies at all times
