Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment, in partnership with Unity Multi-Academy Trust (Unity MAT), is seeking a caring SEND Teaching Assistant to join a Warwickshire school.

You will support pupils with special educational needs, work with teachers and other professionals, and help create an inclusive, engaging learning environment where every pupil can reach their full potential. DBS checks will be required.

Qualifications

• Experience or training with SEND is preferred but not essential if training is provided.

Job Summary

Make a difference every day as a SEND Teaching Assistant! Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with Unity Multi-Academy Trust (Unity MAT) to recruit a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school team in Warwickshire. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping children and young people with additional needs to develop their confidence, independence and learning skills.

The Role

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other professionals to support pupils with special educational needs and disabilities. You will help create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment where every pupil is encouraged to reach their full potential.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with additional needs.


• Supporting pupils with their learning, communication, social development and emotional wellbeing.


• Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and accessible lessons.


• Promoting positive behaviour, independence and inclusion.


• Adapting activities and resources to meet individual learning needs.


• Supporting pupils with personal care where required and appropriate.


• Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.


• Following safeguarding procedures and the school's policies at all times.
