Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is partnering with Unity MAT to recruit caring SEND Teaching Assistants to join a supportive school team in Stratford-upon-Avon. The role focuses on helping children with additional needs develop confidence, independence and learning skills within a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

You will work closely with teachers to provide targeted support, promote inclusion and adapt activities to individual learning needs while adhering to safeguarding requirements.

Tradewind Recruitment is working with an SEND Multi-Academy Trust (Unity MAT) to recruit caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teaching Assistants to join a supportive school team in Stratford Upon Avon.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping children and young people with additional needs to develop their confidence, independence and learning skills.

The Role

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other professionals to support pupils with special educational needs and disabilities. You will help create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment where every pupil is encouraged to reach their full potential.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with additional needs.
• Supporting pupils with their learning, communication, social development and emotional wellbeing.
• Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and accessible lessons.
• Promoting positive behaviour, independence and inclusion.
• Adapting activities and resources to meet individual learning needs.
• Supporting pupils with personal care where required and appropriate.
• Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
• Following safeguarding procedures and the school's policies at all times.

• Has previous experience working with children or young people with SEND (desirable, but not essential if training and support are available).
