Job summary

Derbyshire County Council seeks a passionate Teaching Assistant to support pupils with special educational needs and disabilities inside and outside of the classroom, including 1-to-1 support.

You will require strong numeracy and literacy skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and the capability to plan, assess and deliver targeted literacy or numeracy interventions to help learners realise their potential.

Responsibilities

• Support the inclusion, social integration and academic progress of pupils with SEND inside and outside of the mainstream classroom.
• Contribute to delivery, assessment and monitoring of student progress and support intervention.
