Job summary

Silverdale School is seeking a passionate Teaching Assistant to support pupils with special educational needs and disabilities inside and outside the classroom. You will need excellent numeracy and literacy, plus strong communication and interpersonal skills to plan, assess and deliver targeted literacy or numeracy interventions.

Experience of working with young people in a school setting is essential, with a focus on inclusion, social integration and helping pupils realise their potential

Qualifications

• Numeracy and literacy skills required.
• Experience with SEND in a school setting essential.

Responsibilities

• Support the inclusion, social integration and academic progress of pupils with SEND inside and outside the mainstream classroom, which may include intimatecare.
• Contribute to delivery, assessment and monitoring of student progress and support intervention.
