Job summary

Derbyshire County Council is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support young people with special educational needs and disabilities both inside and outside the classroom. You will need GCSE Maths and English at grade 4 or above and be prepared to provide evidence of certificates.

The role requires excellent communication and numeracy skills, plus the ability to plan and deliver targeted literacy or numeracy interventions to help pupils realise their potential.

We are looking for a passionate and inspiring Teaching Assistant to provide support inside and outside of the classroom for young people with special educational needs and disabilities.
In addition to excellent numeracy and literacy skills the essential requirements are excellent communication, inter-personal skills, the ability to plan, assess and deliver literacy or numeracy interventions and a desire to work with young people helping them to realise their potential.
This role requires candidates to have GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4 or above (or equivalent). The successful candidate will be expected to provide evidence of their GCSE certificates.
