Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is seeking passionate SEND Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional needs in Bristol specialist schools and SEND settings. You will work with teachers and therapists to provide high-quality 1:1, small-group and classroom support across multiple settings.

This role offers flexible day-to-day supply, long-term placements and temp-to-perm opportunities with competitive daily PAYE rates and weekly payments.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEND in specialist settings.
• Knowledge of autism and SEMH is advantageous.
• Experience in 1:1 and small-group support is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1, small-group and classroom support.
• Support pupils to access an individualised curriculum.
• Encourage communication, independence and life skills.
• Support positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
• Assist with sensory and therapeutic activities.
• Support personal care where required.
• Help pupils develop social and practical skills.
• Collaborate with teachers and specialist staff.
• Follow individual education, care and support plans.
• Create a safe, inclusive learning environment.
