Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is seeking Primary Teaching Assistants to support a network of Yeovil-based schools. This varied role offers day-to-day supply, regular part-time, or longer-term placements, with opportunities to work across multiple schools and age ranges.

Competitive daily rates, weekly PAYE and access to our SEND Toolkit are included, along with funded qualifications and career progression through the Care to Classroom programme.

Qualifications

• Experience in SEND or classroom settings is advantageous but not essential.
• Patient, encouraging and resilient approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Willingness to undertake safeguarding training.
• Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support for pupils with diverse learning needs.
• Assist with one-to-one, small-group and classroom activities.
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive learning habits.
• Support communication, emotional regulation and social development.
• Follow guidance from teachers and school teams.
• Maintain a calm, inclusive classroom environment.
