Job summary

TeacherActive is excited to be working with a supportive and welcoming school in Mid Devon that is looking to appoint a full-time SEND Teaching Assistant. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will support students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, helping with classroom engagement, emotional regulation, and learning.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND (e.g. Autism, ADHD, SEMH).
• Caring and proactive attitude.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff.

Responsibilities

• Support students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, helping with engagement and participation.
• Assist with classroom engagement and emotional regulation.
• Support learning in line with classroom activities and inclusion goals.
