Job summary

Academic Appointments Ltd is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to support children with special educational needs within various educational settings across Yorkshire. You will provide one-to-one and small-group support to help pupils gain confidence and achieve learning goals.

The role requires patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to individual pupil needs; prior SEND experience is preferred and DBS clearance is required. Two references and right-to-work in the UK are necessary.

Qualifications

• Two references from previous roles.
• Right-to-work in the UK is required.
• Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one.
• Team Teach Positive, MAPA or equivalent training is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with SEND.
• Support academic, social, emotional and communication development.
• Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to implement individual support plans.
