Academics Agency is seeking dedicated SEN/SEND Teaching Assistants to support children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN/SEND), Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Moderate/Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD), and other Additional Educational Needs across South Yorkshire.

The Role:

As an SEN/SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:

  1. Provide holistic, trauma-informed support to young people with diverse learning needs
  2. Deliver engaging, tailored sessions to aid their educational and social-emotional development
  3. Work flexibly across schools and alternative provisions in South Yorkshire
Requirements:
  1. Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Teaching Assistant (SEN/SEND preferred)
  2. Experience supporting SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other additional needs
  3. Strong understanding of safeguarding
  4. Enhanced DBS (on the update service or willing to obtain one)
  5. Two professional references
  6. Right to work in the UK
