Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to support students with SEMH/ADHD in a specialist setting. The role is part-time and on-site in BS30 5JU, offering hourly pay from £14.25 to £18 and a temporary contract; posting dates set with a closing date of 25 November 2026.

The successful candidate will have experience with challenging behaviour, a 1:1 support approach, and a willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS. Benefits include ongoing CPD and a referral scheme.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting young people with SEMH or ADHD in SEND settings is preferred.
• Ability to manage challenging behaviour while building trust with students.
• Creative, patient, and resilient approach with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support for students with SEMH/ADHD on a daily basis.
• Foster positive, trusting relationships and help with daily routines.
