Job summary

Axcis Education Recruitment is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant for an Ofsted Outstanding special primary school in Hillingdon, starting September 2026. This full-time, long-term role offers tailored 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEMH, ASD and ADHD, with trial days available ASAP to secure the September position.

You will work closely with teachers, therapists and the wider multidisciplinary team to help pupils engage with learning, build confidence and develop positive

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH, ASD and/or ADHD.
• Ability to implement positive behaviour support strategies.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEMH, ASD, and ADHD.
• Create a calm, safe, and engaging learning environment.
• Implement positive behaviour management and de-escalation strategies.
• Support pupils' emotional wellbeing, independence, and academic progress.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and the multidisciplinary team.
• Encourage participation in learning through routines and reinforcement.
• Monitor and record pupil progress where appropriate.
