Job summary

Axcis Education is recruiting Teaching Assistants to work in a range of welcoming primary schools across Chorley. We're looking for caring, enthusiastic individuals to support children with SEND on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, helping them access learning and achieve their full potential.

Whether you're an experienced Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, SEND Teaching Assistant, or have relevant experience supporting children with additional needs, we'd love to hear from you.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months' experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
• Overseas-trained candidates welcome with minimum 3 months UK school experience.
• Patient, caring and proactive approach with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Availability to work Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:00pm during term time.
• Ability to travel to schools throughout the Chorley area.
• The right to work in the UK.
• Aged 18 or over.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEND on a 1:1 basis and in small intervention groups.
• Work alongside class teachers to deliver tailored learning activities and promote pupils' communication, confidence and independence.
• Help create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment.
