Job summary

Axcis Education in London is recruiting a One-To-One SEND Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in Edgware, North London on a full-time, long-term basis. You will work 1:1 to help the pupil access the curriculum and develop independence.

The ideal candidate has SEND experience, familiarity with Autism and SEMH, and a calm, resilient manner. DBS checks and safeguarding commitment are required; this role is paid according to experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in a school, care, or SEND setting.
• Understanding of Autism Spectrum Condition, ADHD, or SEMH needs.
• Calm, resilient and adaptable personality.

Responsibilities

• Deliver focused 1:1 support within and outside the classroom.
• Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs.
• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
• Support the pupil's social and emotional development.
