Axcis Education Recruitment seeks a dedicated 1:1 SEND Support Assistant to work with a pupil at a Sutton special school. This role is term-time, Mon-Fri 9:00–15:45, September 2026 start, supporting a pupil with Autism, SEMH needs and non-verbal communication.
You will work closely with teachers and therapists to promote engagement, emotional regulation, and independent learning in a calm, encouraging environment.

Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs? We are recruiting dedicated and resilient 1:1 Support Assistants to join a welcoming all through special school in Sutton. This is an excellent opportunity to support a pupil with Autism, SEMH needs, challenging behaviour, and non verbal communication. You'll play a key role in helping them feel safe, engaged, and successful throughout the school day.
As a 1:1 Support Assistant, you will work closely with one pupil, providing consistent support both inside and outside the classroom. Every day is different, and your role will involve encouraging learning, building confidence, and helping the pupil regulate their emotions in a positive and supportive environment.
