Engage Partners Limited is assisting a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Watford, Hertfordshire, to recruit a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant. This role involves supporting pupils with SEND 1:1 and in small groups, helping them access the curriculum and participate in lessons.

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Watford is seeking a caring and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with additional needs and help them thrive both academically and socially.
Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND
Supporting pupils to access the curriculum and participate in classroom activities
Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual support strategies
Supporting pupils’ communication, social and emotional development
Encouraging positive behaviour, confidence and independence
Assisting with targeted interventions and monitoring pupil progress
Creating a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment
Previous experience supporting children with SEND is desirable
Experience within a school, nursery or childcare setting is beneficial
Patient, empathetic and nurturing approach
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Calm, resilient and able to adapt to individual pupil needs
Passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning
