Job summary

Educo Recruitment is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant for a Primary School in Watford. The role focuses on supporting pupils with special educational needs, helping them access the curriculum and develop confidence and independence.

You will work with class teachers and the support team to tailor learning plans, support behaviour and development, and promote an inclusive classroom environment. This is a long-term, full-time position with supportive leadership and opportunities to grow

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND or additional needs.
  • A genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs.
  • Commitment to supporting pupils’ learning, development and wellbeing.
  • Strong communication, patience, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND, helping them engage with learning activities.
  • Work alongside teachers and support staff to deliver personalised support strategies.
  • Assist with the implementation of individual learning, behaviour, and development plans.
  • Support pupils with their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Help maintain positive classroom routines and a structured learning environment.
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and positive learning behaviours.
  • Promote an inclusive classroom where every child feels valued and supported.

SEND Primary Teaching Assistant Primary School in Watford

A welcoming and inclusive Primary School in Watford is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team.
