Job summary

Educo Recruitment is seeking a SEND Primary Teaching Assistant for a welcoming Watford primary school. You will support pupils with SEND, enabling access to the curriculum and helping them develop confidence and independence.

You will work closely with teachers and support staff to implement personalised learning plans and promote positive learning behaviours, contributing to an inclusive classroom where every child thrives.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND or additional needs is essential

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND, helping them engage with learning activities

  • Support pupils with their social, emotional, and academic development
  • Help maintain positive classroom routines and a structured learning environment
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and positive learning behaviours
  • Promote an inclusive classroom where every child feels valued and supported

SEND Primary Teaching Assistant – Primary School in Watford

A welcoming and inclusive Primary School in Watford is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and helping them develop confidence, independence, and a love for learning.

The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and the wider support team to provide tailored support for pupils with SEND, helping them access the curriculum, overcome barriers to learning, and make progress both academically and personally.
