SEND Teaching Assistant – Full-time, long-term temporary position, starting December 2025

This is an excellent opportunity for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school environment. Duties as SEND Teaching Assistant:
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with special educational needs
  • Assist teachers in implementing personalised learning plans
  • Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
  • Adapt resources and activities to meet individual needs
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, reporting to the class teacher and SENCO
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Contribute to safeguarding and wellbeing practices across the school
Ideal SEND Teaching Assistant:
  • At least 3 months’ experience working with SEND pupils in a school setting
  • Relevant qualifications are an advantage but not essential
  • Ability to work flexibly across different year groups
  • Strong understanding of strategies to support pupils with diverse needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Committed to promoting inclusion and safeguarding children
