Job summary

Cover People are recruiting a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to support 11–19-year-olds with a range of additional needs in a specialist school setting in Oldham. The role requires Team Teach training and involves delivering tailored learning activities linked to EHCP targets while supporting communication and independence skills.

You will work closely with teachers, therapists and pastoral staff, using strong behaviour management to create a safe, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Team Teach training is essential.
• Experience working with children or young people with SEND.
• Knowledge of ASC/MLD/SLD or complex needs desirable.
• Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom, small-group and 1:1 support for students with SEND.

Pay Rate: £95–£110 per day DOE

Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday

Are you a skilled SEND Teaching Assistant with Team Teach training looking for a rewarding role in a specialist school environment?

Cover People are recruiting a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to support students aged 11–19 with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and complex communication needs. This specialist setting provides highly personalised learning pathways designed to help every student develop independence, confidence and essential life skills.

The Role:

• Provide classroom, small-group and 1:1 support for students with SEND.
