Job summary

Prospero Teaching are working with specialist schools in Oldham to recruit a SEND Cover Supervisor to support learners with a range of complex needs.

You will deliver pre-set work across subjects, maintain a calm, inclusive classroom and work with SEN teachers and support staff to help pupils feel safe, engaged and understood.

Qualifications

• Experience working in SEND or specialist school settings.
• HLTA qualification preferred and prioritised.
• Confidence in managing a classroom and supporting students with EHCPs.
• A calm, adaptable approach with strong behaviour management skills.
• An understanding of supporting pupils with autism, complex needs, or physical disabilities.
• A passion for inclusive education and promoting student independence.

Contract Type: Full-time or Part-time

Salary: Competitive £130-£180 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities)

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

About the role:

This role involves delivering pre-set work across a range of subjects, maintaining a calm and inclusive learning environment, and managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies. You'll work closely with SEN teachers and support staff to ensure learners feel safe, engaged, and understood.

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service OR be willing to process a new application
