Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to work on a day-to-day supply basis with long-term opportunities in Nottingham. The role supports pupils with Autism/ASD and ADHD, providing one-to-one and small group assistance alongside teaching staff.

Ideal candidates will have Level 2/3 TA qualifications, suitable SEND experience, and strong behaviour management and communication skills. PAYE rates apply, with access to CPD and referral schemes.

Qualifications

• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.
• Experience with children or young people with SEND, especially ASD/ADHD.
• Experience supporting pupils with additional learning and behavioural needs.
• Good understanding of positive behaviour management strategies.
• Excellent communication and ability to build relationships with pupils and staff.

Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant Location: Nottingham Start Date: Immediate Start Salary: £95-£110 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a SEND provision in Nottingham, supporting children and young people with a range of special educational needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder / ASD and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder / ADHD. The provision focuses on creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment where pupils can develop their confidence, independence and social skills.

We are looking for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to work on a day-to-day supply basis, with long-term opportunities available. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will support pupils with ASD and ADHD, working alongside teaching staff to deliver tailored learning activities, encourage positive behaviour and provide both one-to-one and small group support.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:

• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable
• Experience working with children or young people with SEND, particularly ASD and ADHD
• Experience supporting pupils with additional learning and behavioural needs
• A good understanding of positive behaviour management strategies
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• A patient, caring and adaptable approach with a willingness to get stuck in
