Job summary

TeacherActive is supporting a SEND setting in Loughborough. We are seeking a caring SEND Teaching Assistant to provide support to pupils with a range of additional needs, with typical hours from 9am to 3:45pm.

The role is flexible day-to-day supply, helping pupils with learning and engagement and may include personal care where appropriate. A patient, adaptable approach and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous relevant experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
• Experience working with a variety of additional needs.
• Confidence supporting pupils with their learning and development.
• Willingness to provide personal care where required.
• Patient, caring and adaptable approach.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a SEND setting in Loughborough that supports pupils with a variety of special educational needs and disabilities. The setting is looking for a caring, adaptable and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant who can provide effective support to pupils throughout the school day.

The SEND Teaching Assistant role is flexible day-to-day supply, allowing you to work around your availability, with typical hours of 9am - 3:45pm. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will support pupils with a range of SEND needs, assist with learning and engagement, and may be required to provide personal care where appropriate.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:

• Previous relevant experience supporting children or young people with SEND
• Experience working with a variety of additional needs
• Confidence supporting pupils with their learning and development
• A willingness to provide personal care where required
• A patient, caring and adaptable approach
• The ability to work flexibly as part of a supportive team
