Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is assisting a specialist SEND school in Carlisle to recruit a SEND Teaching Assistant for an immediate start.

You will support pupils across KS1 to KS4, including those with autism, ADHD and mobility needs, and provide personal care and mobility assistance.

The role runs 8:30am–3:30pm, is full-time and long-term, with ongoing CPD and a competitive daily rate.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
• Experience working with Autism/ ASD, ADHD and complex needs.
• Ability to provide personal care and mobility support.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with learning and development across KS1 to KS4.
• Assist with personal care and mobility as required.

Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

Salary: £100 per day

Are you an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children and young people with complex additional needs?

Do you have experience supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD and mobility difficulties?

Are you confident providing personal care and supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 / KS1 to Key Stage 4 / KS4?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND school in Carlisle, supporting children and young people with a range of complex special educational needs. The school provides a supportive environment for pupils with Autism / ASD, ADHD and mobility difficulties, helping them access education while developing their independence and confidence.

The school is looking to take on a SEND Teaching Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis, working from 8:30am to 3:30pm and providing support across KS1 to KS4. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will support pupils with their learning and development, while also providing personal care and assistance with mobility where required.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND
• Experience working with Autism / ASD, ADHD and complex additional needs
• Confidence providing personal care
• Experience supporting pupils with mobility difficulties
• A patient, caring and resilient approach
• The ability to adapt to the individual needs of pupils across KS1 to KS4
