Job summary

Engage Education in South Leeds is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to support a Key Stage 2 class in a full-time 12-week temp-to-perm role.

You will work one-to-one with learners, apply a range of behaviour management techniques, and collaborate with teachers and other staff. Experience with autism, SEMH, or ADHD is valued, and a DBS check is required.

SEND Teaching Assistant

Engage Education are currently looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to work at a Primary School in South Leeds. Starting as soon as possible, the school are looking for an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to work in a Key Stage 2 class. This is a full time (Monday to Friday) 12 week temp to perm position.

Your Role:

• Supporting learners on a one-to-one basis often with complex learning needs
• Working with other support staff to engage pupils in class
• Providing feedback to teachers and parents
• You will be assisting pupils with Autism, SEMH, ADHD

• To have worked with learners with a range of needs
• The ability to engage a young person in learning through a range of methods
• To be able to commit to working at the school for long period of time
