Job summary

Envision Education in Isleworth is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEND in a mainstream primary with a specialist unit. You will help children build confidence and thrive in a nurturing environment.

Role involves 1:1 support across Early Years and KS1, preparing sensory areas and delivering engaging, tailored lessons with teachers. DBS Update Service required or willing to apply.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months’ experience working with KS1 children, including nursery experience.
• Experience working with children with SEND.
• Patient, approachable, nurturing and confident working on a 1:1 basis.
• Available Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:00pm.
• Hold a Child Only DBS on the Update Service, or willing to apply.

Are you a patient, caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with SEND? We’re looking for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school with a specialist SEND unit in Hounslow.

The Role

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide 1:1 support to children with SEND across Early Years and Key Stage 1.
• Help create a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment by preparing sensory areas, play spaces and classrooms.
• Work closely with teachers to support and deliver interactive, engaging lessons tailored to individual needs.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and help them develop academically, socially and emotionally.
• Provide consistent, patient and nurturing support to help pupils overcome barriers to learning.

About You

We’d love to hear from you if you:

• Have at least 6 months’ experience working with KS1 children, including nursery experience.
• Have previous experience working with children with SEND.
• Are patient, approachable, nurturing and confident working on a 1:1 basis.
• Are available Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:00pm.
• Hold a Child Only DBS on the Update Service, or are willing to apply for one.
• Are passionate about making a positive difference to children’s lives.

Pay: £80-£100 per day PAYE, depending on experience, qualifications and skills.

Pay rate is dependent on qualifications, experience and skills.
