Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant for Tiverton, Devon, to support children with Special Educational Needs in a range of schools.

The role is full-time, term-time only, with hours 8:00 am–3:00 pm, Monday to Friday, and a daily PAYE rate of £95–£105. The successful candidate will work 1:1 or in small groups, assist with EHCPs and behaviour plans, promote inclusion and wellbeing, and collaborate closely with teachers and the SENCo.

Qualifications

• Experience in SEND is desirable but not essential.
• Transferable experience from care work, youth work, psychology, or family SEND experience.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, adapting learning to individual needs.
• Assist in delivering EHCPs, IEPs, and behaviour support plans.
• Promote inclusion, independence, and positive social interaction.

Role: SEND Teaching Assistant
Pay Rate: £95–£105 per day
Start Date: September

The Role:

• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
• A genuine desire to learn and develop within education
