Job summary

TEAM Inc. in Beaford, England, is seeking a dedicated worker to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a child with SEND, helping them access the curriculum and develop confidence and independence.

The role involves implementing provision in the EHCP and tailoring support for learning, emotional regulation, self-esteem, and social inclusion. You will build a positive relationship, encourage increasing independence, and participate in school life.

• Experience supporting a child with SEND.

Job description

The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and SENDCO to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a child with SEND, helping them to overcome barriers to learning, access the curriculum and develop their confidence and independence. The role will involve implementing agreed provision identified within the child's EHCP and providing tailored support for their learning, emotional regulation, self-esteem, social inclusion and wellbeing. A key part of the role will be building a positive and supportive relationship with the child, while encouraging them to develop increasing independence and participate fully in learning and wider school life. Appropriate in-service training and ongoing support will be provided to enable the successful candidate to understand and respond effectively to the child's individual needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference to a child's educational journey, supporting them to thrive academically, socially and emotionally and to achieve their full potential.
