Job summary

Kent Teaching Solutions is supporting a specialist primary school in Sittingbourne to recruit dedicated SEND support staff for EYFS, KS1 & KS2. You will work closely with teachers, the SENDCo and therapists to provide personalised, inclusive support for pupils with autism, ASC, ADHD and speech/language difficulties.

We expect a calm, empathetic and patient approach, with strong teamwork and safeguarding awareness.

Qualifications

  • Foster positive relationships to promote confidence, independence and wellbeing.
  • Assist with personal care and mobility (where necessary).
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists and families.
  • Contribute to EHCP reviews, behaviour plans and learning targets.

SEND Learning Support - EYFS, KS1 & KS2

Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs to thrive and reach their full potential? We have a progressive and well-equipped specialist primary school looking for support staff to join their wonderful community.

We have permanent roles, long term bookings and ad hoc positions available.

About the School:

The school is a specifically for learners with a diagnosis of autism and related needs. Each class has a maximum of 9 pupils and staff to pupil ratio is very good. Each classroom has its own outdoor space with wonderful exterior provisions, climbing walls, exercise equipment, art areas plus sports and balancing equipment. There are also various outdoor shared playgrounds with phenomenal resources, as well as swing rooms, interactive sensory rooms, soft play rooms and dedicated holistic and sensory spaces inside.

About the Role:

We are looking for a caring, resilient and proactive individual to support students with a range of special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and learning delays. You will work closely with class teachers, the SENDCo and other professionals to ensure our pupils receive personalised, inclusive and nurturing support both in and out of the classroom.

Your Key Responsibilities:

* Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE/NVQ Level 2/3, or willingness to train).
