Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD is assisting a mainstream primary school in Ealing (West London) to recruit an experienced SEND Teacher for the Inclusion Hub. You will lead and teach up to six KS1 pupils with SEND, adapting resources and planning weekly provision in line with EHCPs and OT/SaLT programmes.

The role involves leading a small team of three Teaching Assistants, collaborating with Year 1 teachers, and providing flexible teaching cover across the school as needed.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required.
• Strong SEND experience essential.
• Experience differentiating lessons and adapting resources to meet individual needs.
• Understanding of EHCPs and how to use them to inform teaching and provision.
• Ability to plan structured learning and support programmes for pupils with additional needs.
• Strong behaviour management, organisation and communication skills.
• Experience working collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and other professionals.
• Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and pupil development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and teach within the Inclusion Hub, supporting up to six KS1 pupils with SEND.
• Adapt existing lesson planning and resources to meet pupils' individual learning needs.
• Create weekly timetables and plan provision in line with EHCPs, OT programmes and SaLT recommendations.
• Monitor and assess pupil progress, reviewing provision and adapting teaching approaches where necessary.
• Manage and coordinate three Teaching Assistants, ensuring support is effectively planned and delivered.
• Liaise with Year 1 teachers to support curriculum continuity and inclusion.
• Provide flexible teaching cover across the wider school, from EYFS through to Year 6, when required.
• Attend CPD sessions to develop practice and support the delivery of effective SEND provision.
• Make use of allocated PPA time to plan, assess and prepare resources.
