Job summary

GSL Education is seeking a SEND Teacher for a primary setting in Chesterfield. The role involves working in an enhanced SEND resource supporting 5-10 pupils with significant SEND needs, predominantly ASD with EHCPs, on a January to July 2027 timetable.

The post requires QTS and proven SEN experience, with 2 days per week and shared planning responsibilities. Role starts January 2027, ending July 2027, based at Chesterfield S43.

Qualifications

• Experience in SEN settings is essential.
• Must hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
• Experience in primary SEND provision is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lessons within a bespoke Equals Curriculum Scheme.
• Share planning responsibilities with teaching staff.
• Support 5-10 pupils with significant SEND needs (ASD, EHCP).
• Collaborate with 2-3 TA staff to support pupils.
