Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a permanent SEND Teacher for a full-time role at a Chester-based provision. The role will involve teaching students aged 5–19 with ASD/LD/ADD, across all Key Stages, within a supportive and inclusive environment.

You will contribute to an innovative curriculum and participate in purposeful CPD opportunities, while ensuring safeguarding and best practices in line with school policies. The role offers PAYE employment with dedicated onboarding support.

Qualifications

• QTS is required and must be current.
• Experience working with children and young people with ASD, LD or ADD/ADHD.

Responsibilities

• Teach SEN students across all Key Stages (ages 5–19) in a SEND setting.
• Deliver an engaging curriculum while supporting social, emotional and personal development.
• Provide or coordinate therapeutic supports as part of the learning plan.

North West/ temporary / £120 - 220 per day

Underpinning this, is the consistent teaching of people skills, and guidance to assist children develop their social, emotional, and personal abilities. The school is looking to take on a permanent SEND Teacher on a full-time basis. The successful SEND teacher will be working directly with students across all Key Stages, whose ages range from 5 – 19yrs. Most of the young people are diagnosed with either Autism / ASD, Learning Difficulties / LD or Attention Deficit Disorder / ADD.

The successful SEND Teacher will have:

• QTS
• Experience working with children and young people with additional needs, specifically ASD, SLD, PMLD, ADD, ADHD
• Experience supporting children through therapeutic practices
