Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is seeking dedicated SEN teachers to join primary and secondary settings in Chelmsford, starting asap. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, adapt to individual needs, and collaborate with SEN staff to support learning outcomes.

Candidates should have QTS or equivalent, PGCE, and strong classroom management. The role offers long-term placements with potential to become permanent in supportive, well-resourced schools.

Qualifications

  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification required.
  • PGCE or equivalent training preferred.
  • Experience or strong interest in SEN education (primary or secondary).
  • Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills.
  • Patient, resilient and adaptable approach to teaching.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and supporting pupils with additional needs.
  • Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
  • Teach pupils across primary and/or secondary SEN settings depending on placement.
  • Adapt curriculum content to meet a wide range of needs and abilities.
  • Create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
  • Build positive, consistent relationships with pupils to support engagement and progress.
  • Use a range of strategies to support communication, behaviour and emotional regulation.
  • Work closely with SEN support staff, therapists and wider school teams.
  • Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress in line with school expectations.
  • Implement and follow EHCP targets and individual learning plans.
  • Support positive behaviour management strategies across the classroom.

Job Type: Full-Time (5 days a week), Long-Term / Temp to Perm

Role Overview

We are working with a range of SEN schools in Chelmsford (primary and secondary settings) who are looking for dedicated SEN Teachers to join their teams immediately.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging, accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs
  • Teach pupils across primary and/or secondary SEN settings depending on placement
