Remedy Recruitment Group is seeking dedicated SEN Teachers for rel versatile roles in Chelsmford, across primary and secondary SEN settings.

Start ASAP with long-term opportunities and potential permanent roles. You will plan engaging lessons, adapt content for diverse needs, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support pupils’ learning and wellbeing.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • A PGCE or equivalent training is required.
  • Experience or strong interest in SEN education (primary or secondary).
  • Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
  • Teach pupils across primary and/or secondary SEN settings depending on placement.
  • Adapt curriculum content to meet a wide range of additional needs and abilities.
  • Create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
  • Build positive, consistent relationships with pupils to support engagement and progress.
  • Use a range of strategies to support communication, behaviour, and emotional regulation.
  • Work closely with SEN support staff, therapists, and wider school teams.
  • Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress in line with school expectations.
  • Implement and follow EHCP targets and individual learning plans.
  • Support positive behaviour management strategies across the classroom.

Role Overview

We are working with a range of SEN schools in Chelsmford (primary and secondary settings) who are looking for dedicated SEN Teachers to join their teams immediately.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with additional needs, helping them access learning, build confidence, and achieve their potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging, accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs
  • Teach pupils across primary and/or secondary SEN settings depending on placement
  • Adapt curriculum content to meet a wide range of additional needs and abilities
