Job summary

Job description

Job Title: SEND Teacher – Resource Base
Location: B8, Birmingham
Contract Type: Full-Time
Salary: £162.31 – £223.63 per day
Start Date: ASAP

Monarch Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced SEND Teacher to join the specialist Resource Base at a school in B8. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting children with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality, differentiated teaching to pupils within the Resource Base, tailored to individual learning needs and EHCP targets.
  • Create and maintain a safe, stimulating, and supportive learning environment that promotes independence and confidence.
  • Collaborate closely with the SENCO, support staff, and external agencies to ensure effective provision and progress for each child.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies and interventions accordingly.
  • Foster strong relationships with pupils, parents/carers, and the wider school community to support holistic development.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in SEND education.
  • Proven track record of working with children with complex needs, including ASD, SEMH, and speech and language difficulties.
  • Strong understanding of inclusive teaching practices and the SEND Code of Practice and challenging behaviour
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and behaviour management skills.
  • Passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with additional needs.
