Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd is recruiting a Student Mentor to support children and young people with SEND in Bristol and South Gloucestershire from September. The role involves delivering tailored one-to-one and small group interventions to help pupils build confidence, independence and positive engagement with their education.

Candidates with TEFL/TESOL, youth leadership or sports coaching backgrounds are encouraged, as these transferable skills support communication, motivation and relationship-building

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills are essential.
• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND is desirable.
• Transferable skills from TEFL/TESOL, youth work, sports coaching, mentoring or other support roles are valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored one-to-one and small group interventions for pupils with SEND.
• Support pupils to build confidence, independence and positive engagement with education.
• Contribute to a structured, supportive learning environment across Bristol and South Gloucestershire.
