Job summary

SENse Learning is seeking Specialist Teachers in Hastings to provide one-to-one support for SEND and SEMH learners across KS1–KS5, in homes, online, or in community settings. Roles are flexible, with in-person, hybrid, and remote options, and you will design trauma-informed, student-centered sessions tailored to individual needs.

You must have QTS/QTLS and 2+ years post-NQT experience, be based in the UK, and be prepared to go through safer recruitment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of post-NQT teaching experience with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or PMLD
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
• Holistic, trauma-informed approach to teaching
• Enhanced DBS plus 2 professional references
• UK-based with right to work; safeguarding knowledge

Responsibilities

• Develop strong relationships with children and young people with diverse needs.
• Provide in-person, online/remote, and hybrid tutoring sessions.
• Plan and report for lessons; track and communicate progress to parents and schools.
• Tailor curriculum to EHCPs and individual requirements; adapt strategies as needed.
• Safeguard and maintain a safe learning environment.
